Paddington BearMay 22, 2025.Verified Great meal Great place for food. We had one of the best meals here while on holiday in the area. Amazing lasagna. Clean, comfortable, nice staff with good portion size. Definitely worth a visit. Thank you HappyMuncher2014May 20, 2025.Verified delicious thank you! Came in off the street on a Sunday. To be honest the pub doesn't look all that special. BUT the staff were very friendly, and we were brought two SUPERB lunches - a strogonoff and a chicken burger. Looking at the two chaps at the next table, who had Sunday roasts, their food looked delicious too and they were very much enjoying it! I noticed that most of the tables had reservations on them, and I can see why. siobhansmart10April 14, 2025.Verified Great lunch Had a great lunch, stopped by passing through. Burgers were delicious and great portion size. Friendly staff and lovely spot. Highly recommend. Food served all day . Kevin PMarch 21, 2025.Verified Amazing Specials What a great meal today at The Bitter End. The Specials have to be seen to be believed! The regular menu is already good but the Specials reach a whole new level. You can tell the Chefs really take pride in their craft. I can't wait to see what they come up with next. Highly recommended. Steve BMarch 11, 2025.Verified Great Ale's, food and service Called in yesterday for a quiet drink. Great range of ales, wines and spirits. Lovely atmosphere. Today we had our evening meal. The steak and ale pie was spot on with quality vegetables and gravy. I had the rump steak. The quality would put Miller and Carter to shame. The managent should be proud of the staff. Pleasant, professional and knowledgable about the ales. Dog friendly. Thank you for a very pleasant time 10/10 alround. TomFebruary 18, 2025.Verified Cosy little pub, worth it for a quick bite and a pint. Visited over the weekend, it felt very cosy upon entering and it was great. Food was good and there is a wide range of beers available too. Lasagne we had was a little dry but still nice. Overall, great value for a quick bit of pub grub. RobJanuary 31, 2025.Verified Great, traditional foodie pub Brilliant all round. Great beer, great food, friendly and attentive service. We particularly enjoyed the new Portuguese wines - we tried Colossal red and Tirolero white. The wine list needs to be on the table, especially in the evening, so people know they're available. Fonz599January 28, 2025.Verified Still the best! Yet another fantastic visit to The Bitter End. Don’t listen to reviews about it going downhill, they’re utter rubbish! I visited with family. We all had a fantastic meal. There is a great selection on the menu and a fantastic range of drinks, something for everyone. The service was, as usual, impeccable.
